BCHA joins AccessBC Campaign

It's time for free prescription contraception in BC!

At its most recent meeting, the Board of the BC Humanist Association voted unanimously to lend the organization's support to the AccessBC campaign.

AccessBC believes prescription contraception is a right, not a luxury. Helping people exercise their sexual and reproductive rights makes British Columbia a better province for everyone.

Free prescription contraception increases equality, improves health outcomes, and saves people and the government money.

Humanists and the BCHA have a long history supporting reproductive rights in Canada, from Henry Morgentaler's court battles to opposing anti-choice proclamations to challenging so-called crisis pregnancy centres.

AccessBC is asking those who support the campaign to write their MLA to ensure funding for free prescription contraception is included in the next provincial budget.
