Back To School Assembly

Hi All
We are going to meet on Sunday the 18th of September at 1:00 PM at the Surrey Central Library. This is a family Assembly so we encourage parents and children to attend.
We will be discussing issues that parents are facing with the school system (new kids in school, back to school ideas, services offered by the various districts).
We will start in Room 303 just to get things going. After a bit we will split the children off to Room 204 for arts and crafts.

We will be drawing for two back packs with school supplies.

Something to consider: The following is an excerpt from the Amsterdam Declaration 2002, also known as the "Humanist Manifesto."

1. Humanism is ethical. It affirms the worth, dignity and autonomy of the individual and the right of every human being to the greatest possible freedom compatible with the rights of others. Humanists have a duty of care to all of humanity including future generations. Humanists believe that morality is an intrinsic part of human nature based on understanding and a concern for others, needing no external sanction.

If we can't care for each other, how are we to care for humanity. If we cant care for humanity, how can we call ourselves humanists?

The Surrey Central Library is right next to the Sky Train Terminal , so it is easily accessible using transit.

Hope to see you all there.

Gord Leslie
