Fraser Valley Atheists, Skeptics, and Humanists

We are a varied collection of like minded individuals who are engaged in thoughtful conversation and community in the Fraser Valley.

Many of us are: Free-Thinkers, Humanists, Non-Believers, Agnostics, Atheists, or Skeptics, who regularly find ourselves discussing Religion, Skepticism, Science, Ethics, Philosophy, PseudoScience, or the separation of politics and religion.

Atheists
An Atheist is someone who does not believe that a God, or Gods, exists in any form.   Atheism is, simply put, a response to theistic claims; without Theism there would be no need for the term.

Skeptics
Skepticism is a way of thinking about the world.  A Skeptic questions the validity of particular claims of knowledge by calling for evidence to prove or disprove claims.

Humanists
Secular Humanism is a group of philosophies and ethical perspectives which emphasize the value and agency of human beings, individually and collectively, and generally prefers inductive reasoning and evidence (rationalism, empiricism) over established doctrine (faith).
