The Annual General Meeting of the BC Humanist Association will be held virtually via Zoom on May 23, 2024, at 7:30 PM (PDT) with the following agenda:
- Territorial acknowledgement
- Name the chair
- Determine if quorum is present
- Approval of the agenda
- Approval of the minutes of the previous AGM
- Receive the 2023 financial report
- Receive the Executive Director's Report
- Receive any other director's report
- Announcement of election results
- Adjournment
Only current members may vote at the AGM; proxies are not accepted. Minutes of the previous AGM, financial statements and statements by candidates nominated for election will be posted on the members site (login required).
Featured speaker: Paul Henderson
After the formal business of the AGM concludes, stay tuned for a discussion with award-winning journalist Paul Henderson. Until June 2023, Paul was the editor of The Chilliwack Progress. During his time, he was a frequent critic of the influence of the religious right in the Fraser Valley. He started with The Times in 2006 and had been editor since 2020.
