Sunday Meeting: Brenna Bezanson, PACE Society - Myths, misconceptions & the truth about sex work

An honest discussion of the current realities for sex workers in Canada, both legal and social. In this presentation, Brenna Bezanson, the Communications Coordinator and Community Liaison at PACE Society, examines the stereotypes in mainstream society surrounding the sex industry as well as the people who choose this work as a form of employment. You will learn about the current laws in Canada around sex work, why we believe those laws are based on a misguided view of the industry, and how those laws perpetuate  harmful myths and misconceptions about this often misunderstood group.

All are welcome to attend. Join us at 10 am for BYO coffee, tea, and socializing. At 10:30 am we start our presentation and discuss topics of interest to our members.

The BC Humanist Association was formed in 1984 and we have a regular attendance of over 30 people at our Sunday meetings.
