The ebullient David Simpson will be enthralling (and possibly confusing some of) us with another brilliant talk, this time on Life, Death, Free Will, and the Nature of the Self. I think therefore I am, but what am I? What is the nature of the self? Am I just a collection of atoms smashing around? Am I more than my brain? Do I have free will? Will I survive my death? If not, what is the point of my life? These (and other) questions will be discussed. Bring an open mind (even if you aren't sure what your mind is).
All are welcome to attend. Join us at 10 am for BYO coffee, tea, and socializing. At 10:30 am we start our presentation and discuss topics of interest to our members.
