Burnaby Lake in Burnaby, BC, CanadaBurnaby Lake Walk

Join us on our fourth annual Burnaby Lake walk to meet and greet fellow humanists safely outdoors! Burnaby Lake is a major stop-over for migrating bird life as well as home to many local species. We’ll pass over the dam and fish ladders, and check out efforts by local conservation groups to support species at risk. We’ll make this a fairly easy walk of about 2 hours, although keeners can continue around the whole lake! Bring a camera and binoculars if you like, and dress for the weather.
We'll start at the Avalon entrance at the east end of the lake. It has a large parking lot and is within reach of Production Way SkyTrain station or busses 110 and 101. Meet at the notice board in the parking lot.
Stay tuned as we're planning to host more regular walks throughout the Spring and Summer of 2026.
