British Columbia is one of Canada's least religious provinces. The BC Humanist Association is committed to building Humanist communities for those who share our values in cities and towns across the province. Together with our local affiliate communities, we host regular meetings across BC.
Our affiliation program is set out in our Local Groups Policy. Groups who affiliate with us receive support to help connect with Humanists and atheists in their area and become part of a network of non-religious people across the province. Apply to create a local group or to affiliate your existing group.
Attendees at events are expected to adhere to our Code of Conduct.
Reproductive Rights are under attack.
The purpose of this is to show solidarity with the abortion rights struggle in the US and to bring attention to the issue of reproductive care access more broadly. This protest is also to raise awareness about the importance of safe and equitable access to abortion in Canada, and to raise money for donations to improve access to abortion in Canada and the US.
We will have inspired speakers during the rally and a short march to take up space and bring awareness to the cause. Wear Green! (Why green? Read about it here)
This event is being held on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-waututh) Nations.
