Time running out to support choice in death

On Saturday, I joined 30 supporters from Dying With Dignity Canada on the steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery to bring attention to the need to make physician assisted dying an election issue. Our past president and current Dying With Dignity board member, Sue Hughson led the rally. And I spoke with Katherine Hammond, daughter of Margot Bentley.

Please watch and share the video from the rally.

Time is running out to respond to the consultations on physician-assisted dying. The Ontario-led provincial consultation closes on Friday and the federal government's panel is only accepting written responses until October 11th. After that, the only way you can add your voice will be through the federal government's "issue book", which we described as "particularly problematic."

Take a few minutes now, read through our response to the consultations and take the steps to respond. Whether you agree with us or not, please add your voice and then make sure to ask your candidates where they stand.
