Sunday Meeting: Tracey Maynard - Metro Vancouver Alliance

MVA_election_assembly.jpg

Metro Vancouver Alliance is a broad alliance of community groups, labour, faith and educational institutions working together for the common good. Later this spring, MVA is planning a provincial election leadership forum, where the leaders of BC's main political parties will make their pitches to respond to the community's concerns.

To determine what the community's concerns are, MVA is hosting a number of discussions and listening sessions.

Tracey Maynard and colleague Paul Clark plan to do a short introduction of the MVA, its purpose and process and then will spend most of the time listening to members through a guided discussion in small groups. The goal is to hear what issues are most impacting you. This information will feed into preparation for the Provincial Election Assembly.

So come with your thoughts, concerns and ideas for what you want to see our politicians address going into the May 2017 BC election.

All are welcome to attend. Join us at 10 am for BYO coffee, tea, and socializing. At 10:30 am we start our presentation and discuss topics of interest to our members.

The BC Humanist Association was formed in 1984 and we have a regular attendance of over 30 people at our Sunday meetings.
