Nick Taylor of Basic Income Vancouver

We will hear Nick Taylor of Basic Income Vancouver explain the extremely simple and urgent concept of a Basic Income for all Canadians and what we can do to help bring it about.

Basic Income is a very simple idea - it is the idea that we have an obligation as Canadians to meet the basic needs of all people in our society regardless of their work status. This is the society we wish to live in.

Basic Income Vancouver is part of rapidly growing network of people who have taken the decision to say "I support the idea of a Basic Income Guarantee for everyone in Canada".

We know that each of us is the best person to decide what our basic needs are and how best to meet then. Providing a Basic Income Guarantee is the dignified way to do this. Basic Income Vancouver promotes this concept and talks with allies, such as the BC Humanist Association, to spread the idea of Basic Income.

All are welcome to attend. Join us at 10 am for BYO coffee, tea, and socializing. At 10:30 am we start our presentation and discuss topics of interest to our members.

The BC Humanist Association was formed in 1984 and we have a regular attendance of over 30 people at our Sunday meetings.
